22 months

Dear Sena,

Tomorrow you will be 22 months, and it seems like in the past week your vocabulary has exploded.  You have so many questions, mainly, "What's dat?"

And so I tell you.  Which then leads to another finger pointing question, "What's dis?"

And so it goes.

For now all cats are called, "Bee!"  And a squirrel is, "Mouse!"  In fact they are mice - big, hairy tree mice.

This past week your cousin, Lilah, from Texas came to visit.  You had not seen Lilah for a year, back when neither of you were mobile.

But you both are now.  And you, Sena, are a middle-aged, seat-belt wearing dowager of a sensible minivan.  Probably a Chrysler.  Your cousin Lilah is a coked-out record producer careening around in her Maserati.

So, needless to say, it was interesting to watch you two together.

But you did have fun! And here are some fun things we did:

We went to Wisconsin!
We swam in the pool!
You drank apple juice!  (this was a highlight for you)
You ate cookies!
You watched Madagascar!  (And you like to Move it!  Move it!)
You and Lilah shared a room and screamed at each other from your playpens!
We went to the state fair!
We saw baby pigs!  And baby lambs!  And baby ducks!  And baby chicks!

We ate deep fried cheese curds and Pronto Pups!

I hope you had as much fun as I did.  Even though the summer is over now, I'm looking forward to how much fun we will have this fall.  It seems I am always looking forward these days.  Because there is just so much to look forward to.

I love you, Sena.

Love,
Momma

So sweet...I just love how you write these letters to Sena. Perhaps someday they can be a book.
